The Tennis Podcast is the most listened-to tennis podcast in the world. It reached 78,000 unique devices during week 2 of the recent US Open. The podcast began life in May 2012 with BBC Radio 5 Live commentator David Law sitting in his parent's dining room with Catherine Whitaker. She had never previously spoken into a microphone. They talked about the upcoming French Open for an audience of 8 people. Ten years and 900 episodes later, Catherine presents the Amazon Prime Video coverage of the WTA and ATP Tours, and the US Open, and listeners crowdfunded more than £100,000 for the podcast to continue in 2021. The podcast has peaked at No.4 in the UK sports charts on Apple Podcasts, is listened to (and now sponsored) by Billie Jean King, and has featured in the Guardian and the Mail on Sunday as one of 50 podcasts people must listen to.
